The Retreat Tower is the sixth sleeping room in the house. The design and idea for a Retreat Tower comes from one of the owner's long desire for a treehouse. While its not a treehouse, the views, organic design, and elevated experience more then makes up for it.
The velvet sofa is so comfortable that a afternoon nap may be in order. At night it becomes a queen size sleeper for any that are ready for an "elevated" experience. The preserved moss relief sculptures were hand crafted specifically for this space. The moss sculptures and bark effect wainscot, create a visual nod to the foliage outside.
If you have to work on vacation, why not work here. This quiet seating nook offers the perfect spot to get a bit of work done. Yet, between the crane mural, organic art, and whimsical hand sconces, not to mention all the views, it may be hard to not let your mind go back to vacation mode.
Large format windows wrap around more than two sides of the Retreat Tower. Offering views of the lake and wooded adjacent lot. The oversized chair is a perfect spot for a afternoon read.
For city dwellers you may have forgotten what its like to really see the stars but above Lake Arrowhead they are glorious. The telescope and Tower balcony creates the perfect way to see these.
While it may be winter in this picture, the balcony offers a great view of the lake all year long.
